| Biography
Terry Jastrow has been the Executive Producer, Producer and/or Director of some of television's most prestigious and important programs over the last 25 years. A partial list of Mr. Jastrow's accomplishments are as follows: started working for ABC Sports at age 21 and became the youngest network television sports producer at age 23; Producer/Director for ABC Sports, 22 years; Winner of 7 Emmy Awards, having been nominated 17 times; Nominated for the Directors Guild of American Lifetime Achievement Award; Produced or Directed The Super Bowl (Super Bowl XIX - January 1985), Indy 500 (early 70s), Kentucky Derby (early 70s), numerous college football Bowl Games, 68 of golf's major championships (US Open, British Open, PGA Championship, every event from 1974 through 1995), etc.; Producer/Director of 6 Olympic Games (Summer - Munich `72, Montreal `76, Los Angeles `84. Winter - Lake Placid `80, Sarajavo `84, Calgary `86; Produced or directed 6 Olympic Opening and Closing ceremonies including 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles; Producer/Director of ABC Sports golf series - 22 years, and President of Jack Nicklaus Productions for 12 years - re-launched Shell's Wonderful World of Golf (coordinated and produced 48 matches) and created Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge, Michael Douglas & Friends, Tommy Bahama Challenge, etc. Mr. Jastrow's writing credits include: "The Vaginal Lock" a stage play produced at The Skylight Theater in Los Angeles by Camelot Productions and "Good Luck, Mr. Anthony" (written in collaboration with Armyan Bernstein) optioned by Beacon Pictures and currently being developed into a feature film. Additional related activity: Studied acting with Lee Strasberg at the Theater Institute and The Actor's Studio for 7 years; Studied acting with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse for 14 years and taught an acting class for 4 years; Developed, produced and starred in a feature film entitled, "Waltz Across Texas"; Acted in numerous feature films and episodes of television series; Directed LA stage premiere of "A Couple of White Chicks Sitting Around Talking," starring Anne Archer and Elizabeth Ashley; Directed world stage premiere of "As If It Matters," at the Beverly Hills Playhouse; Honored with the Boy Scout's of America Distinguished Citizen Award and Texas State Junior Champion (1966), attended University of Houston on golf scholarship, Member of Texas Golf Hall of Fame. Mr. Jastrow is married to actress Anne Archer with two fabulous sons.
