Biography

Stephen Colletti was born in Orange County, California and grew up in the beautiful beachside community of Laguna Beach. He grew up playing sports ranging from surfing and skimboarding to golf and snowboarding. Since the age of 11, Stephen also found time to act in small local theaters. During Stephen's senior year in high school, he was approached by MTV to appear in a television show that would document his life and friends in Laguna Beach. No one could have imagined that this offer would result in "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" (2004), which became People Magazine's "Best Breakthrough Reality Show of 2005."As Season 1 ended, viewers watched Stephen make the move to San Francisco to begin his freshman year in college at San Francisco State University. Although Season 2 had a new senior class to document, Stephen still appeared in most of the episodes. Season 2 premiered as the most watched show of the night among people 12 - 34 years old. The premiere averaged 3.6 million viewers, doubling the Season 1's premiere, and was the most watched telecast for the summer across all of television among females 12 -17 years old.As Season 2 came to a close, Stephen was faced with some life-changing decisions. He decided not to return to San Francisco and instead moved to Los Angeles where he could concentrate on developing his skills as an actor. At the same time, he determined it was time to leave the cast of Laguna Beach and center his attention on his future as an actor. Currently, he studies with Steven Anderson out of Toluca Lake.With the immediate success of Laguna Beach, Stephen was thrust into the spotlight and teenage girls and young women everywhere had their new crush. With his good looks and So-Cal charm, he has landed at the top of many publisher's lists. He has been included in Teen Peoples' "Top Ten Most Beautiful Guy Stars of 2005" and featured in Teen Vogue's "Young Hollywood's Up and Coming for 2005."Although Stephen's main interest is in acting, he recently co-hosted MTV's New Year of music on New Years Eve in their Time Square studio. He has appeared multiple times on TRL to promote Laguna Beach and really enjoys meeting and interacting with all of his fans.
