Biography
English actor Greg Ellis is best remembered for his portrayal of Michael Amador, the virus broker, in the third season of the award-winning Fox drama "24" (2001) starring Kiefer Sutherland. In addition, Greg has just completed filming Robert Zemeckis' Beowulf (2007) with an all-star cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich. He is currently reprising his role of Officer Groves in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (2007). He can also be heard in the upcoming Garfield sequel as Nigel the ferret and Claudius the mouse. Greg also co-stars in the new Comedy Central show "We're with the Band" (2006), starring Alanis Morissette, playing her manager.Greg is an experienced theater actor whose West End credits include the role of Rusty in the original cast of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's "New Starlight Express", directed by Trevor Nunn; the alternate Chris in the original cast of "Miss Saigon", directed by Nicholas Hytner; "Out of the Blue", directed by David Gilmore, and "Bugsy Malone", directed by Micky Dolenz of The Monkees fame.Greg's US television credits include guest starring roles on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000), Bones, "Jake in Progress" (2005), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993), "Brimstone" (1998), "The X Files" (1993), "The Division" (2001), "Even Stevens" (2000) and on the BBC, "Bread" (1986), "The Paradise Club" (1989) and "Brush Strokes" (1986). Greg had roles in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), which stars the Oscar-nominated Johnny Depp; 20th Century-Fox's Titanic (1997), the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie action comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), the soccer movie Goal! (2005) in which Greg and AC/DC lead singer Bryan Johnson play Newcastle F.C. supporters. and he can also be seen in To End All Wars (2001) starring Robert Carlyle and Kiefer Sutherland.However, Greg's talents don't stop there. An accomplished singer/songwriter, Ellis has performed for H.R.H Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at St. Paul's Cathedral. As well as performing on many album soundtracks, his recordings can be heard extensively throughout Europe, where he has achieved three Top 20 singles. Most recently he has teamed up with 1980s pop icon Nick Heyward; together they have recorded an album entitled "Open Sesame Seed".In addition, Greg's vocal dexterity can also be heard on numerous animated cartoon series, including Warner Bros. "Scooby Doo", "Bratz" (2005), Sony's "Heavy Gear: The Animated Series" (2001) as the voice of Rank the Mad Dog and Bob Stonefire, "Jackie Chan Adventures" (2000), Nickelodeon's "The Angry Beavers" (1997), "Grim & Evil," "Teen Titans" (2003), "Atom", "Ben Ten", "The Wild Thornberrys" (1998), "The Fairly OddParents" (2001), "Invader ZIM" (2001) and "The Mummy for Universal Studios." He was also the voice of Hasbro's "Action Man" (2000) and is the voice of the Eagle comics super hero "Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future" (2004) in the animated series.
